This is a publication of Indian Thyroid Society, is a peer-reviewed online journal with 3 Issues print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs. The journal is published with support from Abbott India Ltd, and Abbott India Ltd agrees to purchase and distribute copies of the journal to health care professionals in India as a service to Medical profession.
Dr. Unnikrishnan AG, Editor-in-Chief is an Endocrinologist and CEO at Chellaram Diabetes Institute Pune, a not-for-profit Institute, where he heads clinical care, research, education and oversees a philanthropic rural diabetes care program. Formerly he was the Professor of Endocrinology at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. He has several indexed publications in reputed journals. He was awarded the Jacob Memorial Prize for the best patient care, at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, in 1998. He received the Subhash Mukherjee Oration Award of the Endocrine Society of India in 2011.
